Stanley the Snowflake
A Playful & Adventurous Picture Book Story (Ages 3–6)
High in the chilly winter sky, where the clouds puff like giant marshmallows, a tiny snowflake twirled in
circles.
His name was Stanley, and he LOVED to wiggle, whirl, and whoosh.
“Here I come, world!” Stanley squeaked as he tumbled out of his cloud.
He wasn’t just any snowflake—he was the friendliest flake in the whole wide winter.
Down below, the forest animals were already cheering.
“Stanley’s coming! Stanley’s coming!” shouted Ruby the Red Fox.
“Yippee!” hooted Ollie the Snowy Owl. “Stanley always brings the fun!”
With a swish and a swirl, Stanley floated toward the forest, dancing his best snowy dance.
Plop! He landed on the soft nose of Benny the Bunny.
“STANLEY!” Benny giggled. “You tickle!”
Stanley bounced off Benny’s nose. “Adventure time! Who’s ready?”
The animals cheered. They built snow forts, slid down snowy hills on sticks, and chased each other
around pine trees.
But one morning, the forest looked soggy. The snow was thinner—slushier.
Ruby frowned. “Stanley, where were you yesterday?”“I tried!” Stanley sighed. “But the air was too warm. It made me melt before I could visit.”
Ollie nodded. “Winters are changing. They’re coming later… and leaving earlier.”
Stanley floated close. “When the Earth gets too warm, it’s harder for snowflakes like me to stay.”
Ruby gasped. “What can we do?”
“You can be Eco-Friends!” Stanley sparkled. “Small helpers make a big difference!”
The animals cleaned up litter, used less water, and reminded each other to care for the forest.
One morning, big fluffy flakes floated down again.
“STANLEY?” Ruby called.
With a whirl and a WHOOSH—Stanley landed in a soft pile of snow.
“You’re BACK!” Benny shouted.
“I came to thank my Eco-Friends!” Stanley beamed. “Because of you, I can stay a little longer.”
And together, they created the best Snow Day ever.
